At PoTF, we are committed to:

The Challenges We Address

​

Orphaned and vulnerable children in Tanzania face some of the most unimaginable hardships. Many live without parental care, have limited access to education, suffer from poor health, and are at risk of exploitation. These children often lack the resources to meet even their basic needs—food, shelter, and access to medical care.

The cycle of poverty is difficult to escape, but we believe every child deserves a chance to succeed. Through the dedication of our team and partners, PoTF works tirelessly to break this cycle and provide children with the tools they need for a brighter future.

Our Programs and Services

To create lasting change, we focus on the following core areas:

1. Education

   • Scholarships and school supplies for children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend school.

   • Literacy and numeracy programs designed to improve learning outcomes.

   • After-school programs that provide extra tutoring and mentorship.

2. Healthcare

   • Access to medical care and treatment, ensuring children are healthy and have access to vaccinations, checkups, and emergency care.

   • Mental health support through counseling services to help children cope with trauma and emotional distress.

   • Nutritional programs that provide meals and education on healthy eating habits.

3. Child Protection and Advocacy

   • Ensuring the safety of every child we serve by advocating for their rights and protecting them from abuse and exploitation.

   • Raising awareness about child protection issues, and working with local authorities and communities to ensure the wellbeing of children is prioritized.

4. Empowerment and Self-Reliance

   • Vocational training for older children to help them develop skills that will allow them to support themselves as they grow.

   • Life skills programs that teach resilience, leadership, and financial literacy to prepare children for the future.
